Is there an App to "link" Calendar events with a Contact? For example, I had a doctor appointment today. Is there an app that would put that Event in to the doctor's Contact record? Maybe in the Contacts notes section?

That seems like a very odd use of the Contacts since it's not meant for that. The notes section is largely for free text, so it'd be hard to manage and if appointments keep ending up there, it's going to get messy to manage.

But no, I can't think of any app that does what you want. It'd be one thing to say you want to have an even in the Calendar app where the contact info is brought in so you don't have to keep entering relevant info all the time.

I'm used to having powerful Contact management apps like Daylite, ACT!, Goldmine, Salesforce, for my business but now retired and just want to keep track of Events history in the specific Contact. I found that I can drag and drop Events off the Calendar (Catalina) in to the Notes section of a Contact. It puts each one in a list format so it's not too messy. I know Calendar and Contacts are not meant to be a CRM. Maybe I'll try to find a low cost web based CRM and would like one that has a macOS, and iOS app.

Barry:

I just checked the Mac App Store and they have a large repertoire of various contact software, contact management, etc. Some would be overkill for you since you're now retired, but they do have apps that are inexpensive and may be what you're looking for. Anyway, a look around the Mac App Store won't cost you anything. ;)

This might be the perfect thing:

Cardhop $15
Review:

If not, BusyContacts and BusyCal, while pricey, together form a really nice CRM program:

BusyContacts $50

BusyCal $50
