this might not be the best place to ask but is there any ETA for leopard?

i'm enrolling college this year and i want to buy a macbook but if leopard is coming out anytime soon i'll wait...

It won't be out any time soon. Earliest guess would be after January, but no one knows for sure.

There have been talks about this many times in this forum. My answer will be if you want to wait for Leopard, that means its not an emergency for you to buy a mac, wait. But if you need it right now, for college, or home use, Get it right now.

Yeah, you can always buy the Leopard upgrade later. Rumor has it that the next version of the MacBook will include a solid-state disk, which runs cooler, faster, and quieter than existing hard disks. However, PQI has announced that they will have a SSD available in August, so you can always upgrade. If you want one for school this year, buy one now. And don't forget your free iPod :)
