I do however clean out my cache from time to time. How long do you leave your computer on for at a time? OSX does some daily, weekly and monthly clear outs. Not sure of the time you need to leave it for for it to find time to do them. You can get some YASU that will perform those tasks immediately so that's worth a go, BUT i'm not endorsing it/them as some of them might create issues I don't know of.
