[QUOTE="dummy229, post: 1181050, member: 191331"] The product is a LaCie Hard Disk MAX Quadra 2TB. It was set at FAST when I got it and I used it for Time Machine back up. I then decided to change it to SAFE without reformatting. Now it is unreadable by the Mac. I tried several times. My friend advised me to keep it at FAST. I have not decided which RAID to go with. However, set at FAST, I tried the instructions on FIX VOLUME CORRUPTION from the LaCie Troubleshooting section. I selected 1 Partition (pic 1) but the "Are you sure" dialogue box (pic 2) reads "Partitioning this disk will change one of the partitions" and "Untitled 1 will be added". Is it strange, when it is set at FAST/RAID 0 ? Is it still being identified by the Mac as RAID 1 (because I set it at RAID 1 earlier)? Please, can anyone help... 1) If I now set it at FAST, what exactly do I do? 2) If I now set it at SAFE, what exactly do I do? Thank you in advance.
