I purchased my iMac 24" Alum 5 months ago... along with the extended Apple Care Protection Plan. I recently discovered when I moved the computer and the afternoon sun shined directly onto the screen that there were irregular smudges and smears on the other side of the glass plate. I spoke to Apple Support and they suggested that I contact either my local Apple Store or an Authorized Repair Service. The authorized repair service, in turn, informed told me that the glass needs to be replaced but it isn't covered by either the warranty or the extended protection plan. Is that conceivable if it came that way from the factory and with the extended coverage that I have? Would appreciate any actions or suggestions regarding this situation or anyone who has experience with this aspect of the warranty or extended plan. Thanks for your time and input.
