iPhone SE not recognized after iOS upgrade

just had update to 14.2 and do not get icon in itunes or finder have done all the "tricks" from the internet with no results ......worked fine before up date ..........works in image capture only

Restarted? both devices?
Unplug cable/cord and tried again? To a different port?

May I ask, for additional clarity, how you updated your iPhone SE? Was it via WiFi (Settings > General > Software Update) or through iTunes?

And are we talking SE First Generation or SE 2020?

I second all of Ian's questions and in addition, it sounds like you are running macOS Catalina, what version of Catalina are you using?

sierra, updated thru wifi and the phone is first generation ....imac is late 21.5 2.8Ghz 8 ram .have samsung ssd external boot and use imac for storage, phone shows up in imac hd / itunes ..... all are up to date also ran disk warrior, cleared caches
