Thank you for advice. Sad but yes, I shall get a new one. No drinks will go near!It's probably not worth having a water damage specialist try to repair it. The cost alone of parts and labor may be more than the iPad is currently worth.
Apple does not repair water damaged iPads or iPhones that are still under warranty with Apple Care Plus. Instead of repairing them, they swap the unit out with a refurbished model.
Probably time to buy another iPad. And this time keep the drinks and food away from it.
