Can someone help me with recovering iPad Air 2 from being wet, as it won't start up at all? I managed to spill water over the front screen, not much but a glass fell and did spill water. Thank you

Thank you for the links - so rice will save my iPad? I did leave it for about a week with the home button down and it still doesn't power up so maybe it's broken?

So I tried rice solution and it didn't wake iPad. I assume now I can say that the battery is damaged. Is there anything that I can do to this iPad? Or is it time to buy a new one? It was working fine until this incident with spillage of water and so I would like to save it if it is at all possible.

It's probably not worth having a water damage specialist try to repair it. The cost alone of parts and labor may be more than the iPad is currently worth.

Apple does not repair water damaged iPads or iPhones that are still under warranty with Apple Care Plus. Instead of repairing them, they swap the unit out with a refurbished model.

Probably time to buy another iPad. And this time keep the drinks and food away from it. ;)

Thank you for advice. Sad but yes, I shall get a new one. No drinks will go near!
