Hello everyone, I'm new here! I'm in IT, I love computers and technology as a whole, so I'm not up in the air about what hardware I want, I'm up in the air about pulling the trigger to early on an iMac. I read HERE (mac rumors) about that it's a possibility the new iMac may have the new intell Haswells in them soon. Possibly an announcement in July. I have read up on the Haswell's and they don't provide a huge difference in CPU power, and their major influence in the world of computing will be in battery life, which obviously isn't a point for a desktop. With having said that...I don't know if I should buy the current model - Early 2013 - or wait for a Haswell iMac. I've also read that the newer iMac could have better wifi capabilities too, much like the new macbook airs with the wireless ac. It could be very possible that if they do get the new processors, nothing else changes, as they JUST refreshed this line. It could be a possibility that they could do it quietly, and in the winter, right around 2014. If I'm going to drop $1,800-$2,000 on a computer, I want it to be the right decision. If it's just a month, I'll wait for the Haswells. It could possibly give me better options, maybe more options with an i7 in the set up. (now there is only one). This could also make the current models a slighttt bit cheaper. If I was told today, the Haswells won't be in the iMac until December...I'd probably get one now and bite the bullet.
