Any news on when and what the price might be for the entry-level 27 inch new iMac? Bating whether to get a nicely discounted 512 SSD 2020 iMac 27“.
I was looking to see if you can expand the thunderbolt three port to USB-C ports. OWC has a hub that could will connect to thunderbolt three and provide three more thunderbolt three connections as well as USB type A. If you connect a USB-C device to the thunderbolt three on the hub it will work but at whatever the slow speed is for the device you connect, yes? It says it will work with the 2020 iMac. That way you can connect a few more fast SSDs or other devices and peripherals. The hub I’m speaking of is $137, and looks to be like the only thing that might work. There are a lot of thunderbolt 32 USB or USB-C to USB Type A hubs, but that is not what I want. You can connect a USB-C device to a thunderbolt three connection, yes? It will only have a speed of 5 GB per second instead of 40 GB per second, yes?
