[QUOTE="Deppetw, post: 1220065, member: 198447"] I actually thought of that before, and went to disk utility and looked all over and there was absolutely no raid set for me to remove. I then tried as you said and looked everywhere to try and find a raid set or anything that would resemble my previous tinkerings and again nothing what so ever could be found. So I have tried looking for any and all drivers that are applicable. No change I still get a kernal error. I have used the seagate diagnostics program. Again no change, kernal error. The weird thing is if I boot into my partion for windows vista, the laptop does not have a kernal panic attack. This leads me to think it is something potentially saved in the NVRAM or PRAM. The idea has popped into my head to reset it but my tinkering got me into this mess and I would rather not reset something unless I am sure it is either my last possible option or I am assured it will not wreck my laptop and I know what resetting it will fully do.
