I deleted Time Machine backups, can I recover them?

Ooops, in my last reply, early on I said 10.13 was OK. I double checked and I need to have 10.15.

I did try to upgrade both iM and MB and the App Store didn't allow anything farther than El Capitan (10.11), what I already have.

You might consider some of the "clone" suites that work just like Office. FreeOffice is one, LibreOffice is another. I don't know which is the best of the options, but there are several.

I've used all three of the programs that MacInWin mentioned. I liked LibreOffice, but at some point, it started to be dog slow on my 2015 iMac. I switched to FreeOffice and liked it. I eventually upgraded FreeOffice to SoftMaker Office because it contained a few features I thought I might need. It's not free, but it is well worth the money.
