To make money anywhere and especially off of the Web you first have to have something which people want to buy. In a shop this is reasonably easy if you are selling say flowers then you open a florists and offer buches of flowers for sale. If you then wanted to apply that same shop to the Web you could by doing the same sort of thing. Fitness however is a difficult market to crack. It all depends on what your specialist area is. If you were a personal trainer then you could set up a website advertising your services as a personal trainer and allow people to make online bookings of your time. That is easy enough to do. If you wanted to offer fitness advice then you get into a trickier situation as people can find a lot of information on other free websites that they do not have to pay for. For example there are a whole heap of websites out there that offer diets online for free. Also with a lot of people having gym memberships most gym's will offer diet and fitness advice for free. The only real way of you making your money on the internet is by offering something that is unique. Something that people cannot get anywhere else or by offering something that people already pay for elsewhere but that you can offer cheaper. Once you have decided upon what you want to offer on your site you then need a catchy title AND an easy to remember web address. It is no good having something like mikeandersonsnumberfitnesswebite.com people will not remember it. They will however remember getfit.com Then you have the problem of advertising your website. You can have the best website out there but if no-one knows about it you won't make a penny. You need to advertise it and in the right places. If you advertise a fitness website in runnning magazine then you will get people visiting. If you advertise it in a magazine all about fishing you will be lucky to get any hits at all. You also need some sort of legal clause that people have to agree to otherwise there is nothing to stop people from taking the info from your site and putting it on their own website for free thus putting you out of business. I hope that the above has given you a few pointers to think about. Regards Cheese
