I just replaced the internal HD in my early 2009 24" iMac with a 2TB hybrid Seagate drive (st2000dx001) and in addition to the fans wanting to always running high (installed fan software to control this), the computer randomly goes to sleep while I'm using it...quite often. The display and computer both go to sleep (fans go off) and I have to wake it back up with mouse/keyboard. It actually just happened while writing this. Any thoughts on what is causing this? Is there a particular connection that could be loose causing this? I'd love to know the likely root cause before I open her back up and start checking everything. Thanks!
