Aloha! Total noob and pretty darn MAC illiterate to boot... but my G5 has developed a whining type noise. When I took it apart, and put my ear next to each area to pinpoint it, it definitely seems to be coming from the processors. It's not fan revving... wish it were, that's an easy fix! I ran my hardware test and everything passed, but the noise is bothersome, and I'm worried about my baby. Any thoughts or ideas? Thanks soooo much. Probably TMI, but I know often times this sort of thing can be helpful... Machine Name: Power Mac G5 Machine Model: PowerMac7,2 CPU Type: PowerPC 970 (2.2) Number Of CPUs: 2 CPU Speed: 1.8 GHz L2 Cache (per CPU): 512 KB Memory: 2.5 GB Bus Speed: 900 MHz Boot ROM Version: 5.1.5f0 Willow
