I have two Panther 10.3 CDs and an iBook 1.2Ghz with 512MB Kingston Valueram. I tried this with and without the RAM in the iBook with no difference. When booting Mac OS X from CD to try and install classic, my iBook boots and goes to the Apple logo which then seems to freeze. It is also slightly off-centered when it freezes obscuring a small part of the logo. Now this happened to me using the same discs on a 14" G4 1.0Ghz, so I'm not really sure what to think.
