Film Scanner for Mac

I have a ton of 35mm slides and need a quality scanner. I'm not going to be printing posters, but 7200 dpi min. People like the Plustek, but they don't seem to play well with Macs. Any thoughts? $500 +/- is good. Thanks!

Your Mac's Specs
MBP 16" 2023 (M3 Pro), iPhone 15 Pro, plus ATVs, AWatch, MacMinis (multiple)
I have a Plustek, Optifilm 7600i, works great with my MBPr mid-2015, running Catalina 10.15.7. The Silverfast application it uses has been upgraded to 64 bit and runs fine. I've not heard of any issues with Macs at all.
