I dragged a lot of movie clips from my Lacie External Harddrive into my Macbook air trash bin. Whenever my hard drive was connected to my macbook, I saw the dragged files were in my trash bin. I never emptied the trash. However, recently, whenever I connected my ex drive to my mac and opened the trash, the files that were dragged from my lacie are not there. I need the files back so I would appreciate your help. Thank you!

G'day and welcome to the forums.

The same as Windows. Empty the Trash whilst the drive is connected. No external drive connected, no emptying. As the files were gone I guess you have done a reboot. Good luck recovery is an expensive operation.

Also, not generally a good idea to drag things to the trash bin unless you actually mean to delete them.
