I am a newbe to iMacs. I have a 20.5 model running Snow Leopard and I want to be able to use an 80 gig external HDD formatted NTFS n it. The HDD is also used on my Windoze 7 laptop and the main files are my photos.

The HDD is read only on the iMac. How can I give the iMac full permission to read/write? It is OK on my laptop, no problems.

I have done a search on this, but to no avail.

You can use this guide to enable the NTFS driver in Snow Leopard.

I prefer Paragon's NTFS for Mac.

There is also the free NTFS 3g. I have not used this one.
