sorry i mean as in shutter time - from when you press the button to when it takes the picture

shutter speed goes from bulb (shutter opens from when you press the button and closes when you release it) to about 1/1000 so a pretty good range

Get the iMac. On vacation i uploaded all of my pictures from my d50 onto my sister's ibook and it got so slow by the end because of the pictures.
