Hi i have an old Apple tv 2 generation it still works
but i cant log on to a new itunes account, this because
it is locked on an old i think US itunes, here is the problem
i cant remember this account login, have done a factory
reset but it goes back to the US region, am now living
in Denmark and have a account here.
Is it a doorstop? or does anybody have a way to get it
back, if i login to my new account it just says something
went wrong with the new acount or password

My advice: Buy a new or newer Apple TV. Your ATV gen 2 has long been designated vintage by Apple so there is not going to be any help there.

A new ATV purchased in Denmark can be setup there with your new account. You don't have to buy the latest ATV, just one that is still supported and will work.

I would think you should be able to simply log out of the old account and into the new one. The devices themselves don't get region locked that I've ever heard. Certainly, if you are able to log into the old account, then you should be able to with the new. I did a little googling and found some tips about authentication with. 6-digit PIN timing out quickly. Do you get to a point where you plug in a PIN?

Check your settings, under General, and scroll down to Language and Region, assuming the menu is the same in this regard as my newer ATV model. If the region is set to United States, then change that and go from there.

Have you tried resetting the password?

EDIT: do you not remember the password, or the actual Apple ID (user name)? If you can't remember even as much as the Apple ID, then obviously you can't reset the password. If you can't find a hint of what it was in the Settings menus, then there's not much else to do. Randomly try/reset the password for every Apple ID you've ever possibly had. This would be in the form of an email address you've had at some point. Although if you don't have access to that email address anymore, well yer out of luck.

If you don't have the password, you can't fix it. Apple can't help, they don't have the password available, either. As LIAB suggested, you can try to reset it, but if that doesn't work, there aren't any other options.
