Thankyou. Basically the setup Im looking at is this at the moment: - Mac Mini (acting as home computer & server & apple TV receiver) - 1TB Ext HD (acting as Time Capsule for Time Machine backing up all my iPhones, iPad3, and a future MacBook Air when I can afford it) This is a relatively cheap setup at around $1000 Im considering a alternative though. But it involves using a Apple TV. Im wondering what sort of limitations I will face in this alternate scenario by using the Apple TV. - MacBook Pro - Time Capsule (for Time Machine to backup everything on the network wirelessly) - 1TB Ext HD (acting as the server, plugged into the Time Capsule, both of which are hidden away) - AppleTV This is a much more expensive setup at around $1700+. It gives me portability and the ability to stow away my server and backup files. But it comes at a price and more importantly, the Apple TV experience might be less than I expect. If you take price out of the equation, which setup would you go with if you had the choice? Im basically starting from scratch at this point (even though I already own a iPhone and iPad and 2 SuperDrives).
