I've been researching my ram upgrade for a mid 2009 macbook 2.13ghz intel core2duo, currently sporting 4gb 800MHz DDR2 SDRAM. My mac has the same chip set as several varieties of the macbook pro. Lots of people have suggested the 8gb upgrade and I know my mac can handle that. What I cannot seem to find is anybody that has tried putting a couple of 204pin 8gb ddr3's in their macbook (not pro) and found it not to work. Surely someone out there is mad enough to try it. I wonder if since my mac os x upgrade anyone has experience of trying 16gb and finding it not to be recognised. Any information would be appreciated.
