I built the RAM module for the 8-bit computer. My RAM module is drawing around 2 amps when I connect A0 to GND. The 74LS189 RAM is become really hot. When I disconnect it from GND and connect it to +5V or when I disconnect it completely, the current being drawn Is only a few milliamps. How do people manage to get this to work properly?

I think you are going to have to check with a different forum site to possibly get the answers to your questions 'cuz that is quite beyond a normal Mac type question. 😇

And I'm not going to bother asking what mac model you are running and how this ram module will be used... but good luck. 😇
