Hi all!

I'm installing Windows 7 Ultimate on my Macbook Pro (Late 2011). After running BootCamp5.1.5621 and installing the necessary drivers I got BSOD with 0x00000024 error. With BlueScreenView utility I see that the crash is caused by

fltmgr.sys Microsoft Filesystem Filter Manager
Ntfs.sys NT File System Driver

I still can load up Windows in Safe Mode or if rolling it back to a previous restore point.

Obviously the system is having issues with one of drivers but I can't find the solution so far. Any input will be appreciated.

Welcome to our forums.

Have you tried to see if there are updated Boot Camp drivers available? You should be able to do that from Windows Safe Mode by using the Control Panel app.

I don't trust Wikipedia for supplying the correct information regarding Apple systems or drivers. You need to check Apple, Boot Camp support and make sure you have the correct driver package.

Also, Apple has in the past updated Boot Camp drivers from the original package. Which is why you need to make sure you have the latest.

An NTFS.SYS error is going to prevent you from running Windows on your MacBook Pro.

I still can load up Windows in Safe Mode or if rolling it back to a previous restore point.

I'm also not sure we're getting the complete picture here.... It would seem that you have had Windows 7 working from Boot Camp at one time. Are you trying to upgrade Windows 7 from a lesser edition?

If that's the case, you need to make sure that Windows 7 Ultimate is supported by Apple on your model MacBook Pro.

Which version of macOS is your MBP running?
