Big Sur Photo Editor Fireworks Replacement

Hi folks. I need a new photo editor. Basically a web image application and general image editor. I used Fireworks all this time and I'm on Big Sur now on a Mac M1.

Any suggestions? Not my forte and I have no clue what's out there.

I have two suggestions for you:

Pixelmator

Affinity Photo

Both are found in the Mac App store and highly recommended.

I've never used Photos as an image editor. I should have been clear on that. Web stuff, like that.

I can certainly endorse Affinity. I’ve used it more or less since its launch. Not only does it work as a standalone app - which you would obviously expect; it can be integrated with Photos app. This means that you can have the advantage of using it as your only editor or continue to store and edit your pictures in Photos app and when something special is required, use Affinity.

I grabbed Pixelmator and it suffices to replace Adobe Fireworks. I do something once every 2 months or so.
