Best option for wireless network please..

I am moving to my new home where i have cable internet with a dual band wireless router downstairs ...

I also have ethernet cable from router to some upstairs rooms...

I would like wireless upstairs as well...

What hardware should i use for this..I have found stock standard extenders pretty ordinary in the past is there a better option..

You might want to check how your WiFi coverage is before exploring the extenders route. You didn't specify which router you have exactly..

My Apple Extreme is in the basement and I get decent coverage on the first floor of my house, but the second floor was a little sparse, so I bought an Airport Express and it sits on the 1st floor and provides coverage through the 2nd floor.
