Belkin Bluetooth Number Pad: Delete Button doesn't work

How can I set it so that my Belkin bluetooth number pad's delete button actually work?

All other buttons work besides that one. It's annoying how I have to delete using the full macbook keyboard

Edit: It only works (i.e. delete) when a number is selected/highlighted but does not delete as you are typing digits in and want to go back one digit. It only deletes when a set of numbers is highlighted.
