Applications won't open

All of a sudden I can't open any app Excel, photos, word, anything. 'Twas fine an hour ago but now when I try to open anytging I get the message can't open because Power PC applications are no longer supported.

Suggestions please

This is wierd. I rebotted the Mac and now everytghing is back to nor,al ???

You must have opened a browser.... or, you used a different device to post here. ;)

Certainly not weird, that is the first rule of computing to try when things are not working properly.

Actually doing a complete shutdown and then a bootup from cold is even better as it is more complete for purging any goofy files that might be residing in memory.
