Wow, it's amazing how these stories get spun out from people who know little about technology but a lot about conspiracies.

And LiB thank you for posting a reputable tech site with the ability to actually understand what is happening and explain it.

so the site I listed is not reputable? how can you tell?

Its not the first time I've heard of big data (apple) spying on people, selling our data for profit (just like Facebook does). And/or keeping/storing the data just in case the government asks for it.

Well for starters they are basically foaming at the mouth. They aren't presenting a balanced view of what's going on there... just pushing an agenda. If you'd read the article I posted, it should be clear(er) that Apple isn't spying on anyone or selling your data for profit. Or... well they aren't doing any of that stuff you just posted.

The URL of the site linked in post #1 is "reclaimthenet.org". With that URL...it's fairly obvious reclaimthenet.org has an agenda...clearly not big-business friendly...which may mean articles placed on this website won't be as fair & balanced as they could be.
