Would be helpful for those that are able to assist in knowing which iMac he has. You have 21" in title and 27" in the post. Both of those sizes were first introduced in late 2009. Prior to that were 20" and 24" iMacs. Prior to those were 17", etc. You can click on the Apple and go to About This Mac for info on the machine. Providing accurate monitor size, CPU and video card would assist in narrowing down the specific iMac you have. Also: What version of OS X is on the machine? and You would also need to advise what sort of connections are available on those Acer monitors - VGA, DVI??? If you are not familiar with the names of ports when you look at them, you can compare them to pics in post # 4 in the following thread: http://www.mac-forums.com/forums/other-hardware-peripherals/193239-connecting-your-mac-your-tv.html
