Specs: 1: MacBook Pro early 2008 4,1 OS X 10.7.5 2: MacBook Pro mid 2009 5,5 OS X 10.8.1 Both of these computers used to see my Airport Base station in the sidebar of their respective Finder windows, and upon highlighting the airport icon in what I think was called "shared", it would connect to which ever external drive was connected to the router, either via hub or directly into it. I'm pretty sure I've done this while running Lion, but I can't be sure, and it has been quite some time since I've tried to connect this way. I've been connecting externals to my MBP directly via a USB hub for the past several months. Now, however, neither my or my wifes MBP's will see anything. In Airport Utilities, under "disks", I don't even see the external, which obviously is not a good sign. Not sure of what I'm missing, but I'm pretty sure everything is up to date firmware wise and I've tried various configurations with no luck. Hoping someone with more experience can lend a hand and some opinions. Thanks! Doug
