That’s mostly because the style originated at outdoor parties, mainly in Goa, India, and the sun would warp the vinyl. Plus dust and wind does not mix well with vinyl. In fact, I started spinning CDs because most psy record labels don’t even release vinyl anymore, strictly CDs.
