Any Issues Using USB 3.0 Hub in USB 2.0 Environment?

have any of you had a USB 3.0 Hub ( used as USB 2.0) with 2-3 low draw devices on it( no hard drive) and one of them was a mouse transmitter....? did you notice any problems with it
under normal use...? Mac Air i7

And which specific USB hub, manufacturer and model, are you talking about?
And which macOS are you running.
When I upgraded my Mini from ElCapitan to Mojave, the non-powered USB 3.0 hub I used was actually detected differently which really surprised me.

The 4-port USB 3.0 non-powered 4-port hub I have is not an Anker unit but technically it's probably the same or similar.
Worked with some devices but not others. Also depens on the macOS.
I had my keyboard connected to the hub - worked fine with ElCapitan but when I upgraded to Mojave, the keybpard connected via the USB hub was not recognized by macOS.

aren't you on Catalina now??? it works good..just did the latest update and it was ok too...but I don't really like those updates..

I have the ANKER 4 port USB 3.0 which only has my TM SSD on it. I am continuously gating "disk not eject properly" when only the TM SSD is connected. If I jiggle the connection where the TM is connected, I get Dis Not Ejected Properly. Is it time to purchase another ANKER 4 port device?

I'd go for a new cable first. Cheaper and more likely to be the issue. Try changing from the socket to another to test.

BTW, you probably should have started a new thread on this as this thread is about mixing USB 2.0 and 3.0. Maybe a Mod will come along and fix it for you?

I should of replacing the cable\. Seems to work now. Thanks for the suggestion
