Well, I am looking for a 50" TV without "Smart Google TV", Android based, or Alexa integration. I don't even mind, if it is a "dumb TV", as long as it supports 4K Ultra HD and has HDMI 2.1 or later ports.

Maybe, I can just continue using my Roku stick and disable the network connections for the new smart TV...

50" flat screen TV's are old-school. Need at least a 65" now...or better yet a 75"!:)

I've been trying to convince SWMBO that we need something like this 100" job. bestbuy.com She's starting to question my sanity so maybe I better stop asking for that. :ROFLMAO:

LOL, I almost fell off my exec chair! We definitely don't want you hauled off to the funny farm. :rofl

If you've ever been into one of Best Buy's stores and visited their Home Theature section, you would be amazed at the number of folks buying one of those monster TVs and a sound system to go along with it.

I've got an older 50" TV in our living room that we rarely look at any more. I've actually been thinking of donating it to Good Will or the Salvation Army.

We have a 55" LG that's only two our three years old. I probably wouldn't go larger than about 60" because of the size of the room.

BTW If you don't mind me asking, what exec chair do you have? SWMBO will be in need of a new one soon and we have been very disappointed with the last two that we've tried

My wife and mother in law purchased it from Office Depot years ago as a gift for me. I'm not certain of the manufacturer but it was expensive. It's been a good chair. Leather and stained wood, high back. Moves up and down and has an adjustable tilt. A good quality exec chair will easily cost anywhere from $200 upward.

I'll look around for the original receipt and booklet that came with it. If I can find it, that will show who made the chair.

That price tag does not surprise me. In fact, we have tried two different chairs in the past few years. One, and maybe both of them, in that price range. Neither of them has lasted as long as one would expect. The up/down left mechanism failed in both cases.

If you liked the chair, look at Abacus at swivel-chair-parts.com to see if they have a replacement part for the lift mechanism. I've had good luck with them on two occasions.

Thanks for that link. It's always nice to have a good source of spare parts.

We're probably just going to replace the chair. This one has other issues and we're not impressed with it.
