I have had a AirPort Time Capsule for about four years now. In the last month or two it just acts funny, some folks can connect, others cannot. Over night I left my Macbook Pro running to complete the first Time Capsule backup in about a month and when I woke it was still only 2/3 of the way through the backup. This is leading me to believe there might be something wrong with the hard drive in the unit.

Does anyone know of any way to check the hard drive to see if it is stable?

Since some users are having trouble connecting and others aren't I'd be looking at connection issues first as well.
