Hi Lori,

When this occurred...do you remember if there was any special page that popped up or you landed on?

Great to hear all is well when you restarted your Mac.

Thanks,

Nick

I had the exact same message a couple of hours ago. I tried reentering the website name manually and same result. Now it is fine. It happened a couple of days ago but I assumed since you were moving the site it was still down so I wasn't concerned.

Yes you got it. The mistakes very likely the reason. This shows the site is working as supposed to.:)

Thanks Lisa...good to know. Hopefully a temporary thing. Some settings with the new setup still being tweaked. Maybe you were visiting at exactly the same time a setting change was being made.

I had the same thing happen yesterday and it kept repeating each time I attempted to log on to Mac forums.

I shut down, did a safe mode boot, restarted and carried on and the problem had disappeared.
No other problems accessing mac-forums since.

Everyone seems to be misreading that message "account suspended". It was not speaking about YOUR account but because the site was transferring at the time it was referring to the "Mac-Forums Account".

Should all be straight now.

Hello everyone. Wanted you to know that the issue causing the "account suspension" page to be encountered for some folks should be corrected.

Like chscag (Charlie) mentioned...the "account suspension" was not referring to a Mac-Forums member account being suspended...it was website activity being suspended on the previous server for the website.

Apologies for the confusion.

Thanks for the updated info, but not to be too niggly, maybe the dialogue window could have used some decent English grammar corrections so that the meaning was completely clear. But so typical of so many signs these days.

Unfortunately we have no control over that message. The message is from the former company that hosted the website. It's not our message...it's their message. The message is related to the server account for the website...not member accounts of Mac-Forums.
