grrr ok, so I found this thing called a GameBridge that lets you hook your game system into a laptop and use the screen as the "TV" it appears to only work with PCs... BUT I OWN A MAC!!!!
I have a 17" MBP any (low-cost) ideas that would allow this? Also I don't know if this would be important but I'm trying to do this with a Wii

P.S. The problem with using a capture card is it uses hardware processing to lighten the load, I'm not worried about that because it's not like I'm doing capturing.

Sorry, I don't have much experience with it. I have hooked up game consoles to a monitor once in my life and will never do it again. The computer monitor made the screen REALLY dark, I'll just stick with a nice TV.

I know for a fact that the MBP only supports DVI output, so you would have to get something else for a source of input. My suggestion is to not even bother trying it and using the money to just get a TV with a decent picture.
