    Specs:
iMac Core i5, iPad, iPhone 4
I purchased Xtorrent. Acquisition is widely used as well, and aMule, which is slightly less elegant.

    Specs:
15" Unibody MBP 2.4 Ghz C2D, 2 GB RAM, 250 GB HDD, 320 GB Time Machine HDD, 1 TB Ext Media Drive
I've used Acquisition for some time (runs on the Limewire network, among others). I can also highly recommend Transmission...great, simple, easy to set up BitTorrent client, plus it's free.

acquisition - best for p2p with built in search, similar to limewire. very lightweight and very nice. can also download torrents, but i do not use it for that (see below). http://www.acquisitionx.com/

transmission - open source, lightweight, best and only used for torrents. http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/19378

The "search" button should be more visible on forums, or someone could put up a huge notice about searching before asking at the top of the page.

Anyway, I hope a uTorrent for the MAC comes out soon since it's a great program.

I think it's right there in the Forum rules, which of course are read by EVERYONE ;-)

At present there are no known virus's on the Mac for OSX, but yes, you COULD download a PC virus and then unknowingly pass it on through a network or in an email. I don't use anti-viral software and so far, touch wood, have not passed anything on. I wouldn't worry about it, but if you have a PC networked to your Mac, it's probably not a bad idea to get some screening in place.

If you're talking about P2P, probably Transmission because it is one of the lightest Bittorrent clients out there.
