First off, please be aware that I am not wanting to do anything illegal or frowned upon. If there is no legal way to do what I want to do, tell me and I won't do it.

I purchased Toast 7 Titanium for our iMac. I did the download from the Roxio website so I don't have an install disc. I have all of my paperwork, "keys", etc.

Now, I have a G4 iBook coming from the Refurbished store. Can I install Toast on that machine? If so, how would I do it?

Thanks -

The legitimate way is purchase another license from Roxio for your new iBook. Maybe they have a cheap deal for a second if you've purchased one already.

I thought as much. The iBook only has a Combo Drive so I don't need the DVD burning capabilities that Toast 7 comes with.

Is there a cheaper (or free!) CD burning app for my ibook that anyone could suggest?

Thanks - Jeremy

iTunes and disk utility which comes on your system. Also you can burn using the finder.

What about iTunes, disk utility, or just creating "burn folders"? All of those are definitely free and are on your Mac right now.

As others have said, iTunes will do music CD's, Disk Utility images and other stuff, and Burn Folders. If there is anything else you need to do, there is a fairly cheep program called Mac Burn. It does all the basics except DVD movies. It's $29.95.

Otherwise just use what is in OSX.
