Good morning every-one, especially Slydude and more so Patrick. pm-r Patrick, I followed your first link and then printed instructions within. Low and behold I got all icons wobbling (as on iPhones), I then clicked on the skype icon, (x) appeared and another click did the trick Skype disappeared. I thank each and every-one of you for your help, I do not know what I would do without you all. Thanks every-one.

Very best regards from Keith in Derby England.

    Specs:
2017 27" iMac, 10.5" iPad Pro, iPhone 6s+, iPhone 7+, Numerous iPods, High Sierra
Launchpad apps (icons) are removed the same way you remove apps on an iPhone. Hold down your mouse button on the app icon you want removed and when it starts to wiggle, press delete. It's gone. Keep in mind that icons in Launchpad are all aliases and so the original app in Applications must also be removed.

Ah.. OK. I didn't see Keith's post until I replied. Good show Keith! And another Texas hat to the Dude!

Good morning pm-r and slydude, between you you have sorted out my problem. Slydude made the first move which prompted pm-r to make another move, he made a comment regarding two different links; I followed the first link and there was the answer to my problem. Thank you both very much indeed for yet another problem solved by the members of this superb forum. Hope all is well in your families.

Thanks Keith for you kind comments, but my concern now is the fact that you don't have Skype installed so you won't be able to chat with your old buddy.

It's very simple to setup and then all you need is for your chum to do the same and then arrange an agreeable time to chat.

PS: I like your sig. And so true.
