email questions

After installing yosemite, my old e-mail account ts (2 of them) changed from a simple inbox, trash and sent headings to a more complicated inbox, sent, trash and spam heading for each account. Now I have to look in three separate areas to check all my mail for each account. Can that be reverted back to the way it was under mavericks?

Nothing has changed, really. All your incoming mail is still found under the main inbox. The other two are just showing you what's on the IMAP server so you can spot any differences between locally-stored and remotely-stored emails, and delete things from the remote server if you wish.

As you mouse over the gray account names below the main inbox, you'll see a "hide" button appear just to the right of it. That will hide the duplicate mailboxes for that account (see below)
