LIP adaptor to Macbook Air hard disk

Hi,
My Macbook Air died (the motherboard) and I need to retrieve the info in its hard disk - the disk was not damaged. My technician says he needs a "LIP adaptor" because this specific disk has a special connection.
Can anybody help me in giving me the:
1) official-full name of such an adaptor? It's number in Mac catalog of parts?
2) one place in the U.S. that sells such an adaptor?

Many thanks. Please help since I can not operate with out this data.

But, I am not sure I understand - the link you sent refers to the LIP adaptor? It does not look like an adaptor but like an exterrnal disk.

When you went to the link that bobtomay provided...did you read the "IMPORTANT NOTE" section in the link??...here's what it says:

"The OWC Envoy enclosure has been specifically designed for use ONLY with the factory SSD found installed in Apple MacBook Air 2010 and 2011 models."

If you have a 2010 or 2011 MacBook Air...then this is what you need. If you do not have a 2010/2011 MacBook Air...tell us what you have so we can help.
