Rosetta came with 10.6 Snow Leopard but I believe it was an optional install. Do you have your OSX DVD?

When running an app for the first time in Snow Leopard that requires Rosetta, it will be downloaded automatically. (Or it should be.)

Charlie when I first installed SL day of release, it asked if I wanted to install Rosetta.

Yeah, me too. However, some folks skip that step but later on find they need Rosetta. That's when it should download automatically if an app needs it.

where may i load rosetta

the lik apple on the net do not work
and see that a lot of people have the same problems
so ! if there is a solutions somewhere

no i do not have the disc

apple shop installed it a switch from 10.5.8 to 10.6.8
on the net the link do not work !

The Snow Leopard DVD can be purchased direct from Apple on line for $29.99 plus tax and SH. Also, if you're installing a program that requires Rosetta, it should give you the choice of downloading it or, download automatically.

I will back this as I have seen many Snow Leopard installs do this. What happens if you try and run an Application that needs Rosetta? What is the message?

If I remember correctly Dennis, it will inform you that this "app" requires Rosetta in order to install. Download now? (or something to that effect) I only had that happen once with an older game I was trying to run in Snow Leopard on the 2011 iMac when I first used it. The MacBook I had at the time already had Snow Leopard with the optional Rosetta included.
