Hi guys, as my name suggests I'm new to the mac world and have recently encountered the 'no bootable device...' prompt on my new mac book pro. The problem started when I recently tried to install NTFS Paragon software in order to use a seagate 750gb external hardrive with my mac. Can anyone please help as I have just started a 2 week Atlantic sea crossing and I have no way of accessing an apple store or my computer so I'm all lost at sea so to speak!!! MAYDAY!!!!

Welcome to the Mac Forums.

Did you try holding down the OPTION key when booting and then select the MacIntosh HD? If that doesn't work then....

Did you bring your install DVD with you? If you did, boot with it and use Disk Utility to run a repair on the disk. Let us know.
