So I'm a bit confused about the program - I'm aware that OS X will run some maint. scripts during the night - but I use pwr saver to sleep the system. So the scripts don't get run - but it seem like MacJanitor is a purely manual program that you need to run at some interval - true ?

Are they're any programs that wake the mac up during the nite - runs scripts - then let it shut down ????

None that I'm aware of. Just running them via an application such as MacJanitor on occasion will be fine.
