I'm taking my MacbookAir in to Genius to see about a hinge fix out of warranty. On loading a Buffalo NAS last night I came across a setting that said SUDDEN MOTION SENSOR - ENABLED cant remember where now. I take it that this motion sensor protects the harddrive from impact etc. If it says enabled, does that mean it is ready to protect, or that it has had a drop recorded?
I just don't want the Genius to tell me that the out of warranty repair is invalid for a knock being recorded, it certainly hasn't been dropped but has slid off the sofa onto the carpet once!!
