Hello, I've been a windows user all my life, I just finally made the switch. I already received my G4 iBook but still have a G5 iMac on it's way to me. I'm so excited to finally have a Mac, however my excitement is put on hold because I don't really know how to do much. My iBook has 768 Ram, 30GB Hard drive, Airport Extreme, and all the original software. Its a 1.25.
I cannot figure out how to set up an email account. I want my email address to [email protected]. I really need help with this. I also can't figure out how to save pictures I find on websites, or change the current Computer name on my iBook. (I didn't buy it new). I would appreciate any and all help.
Thanks guys.

.mac is a service provided by Apple, it costs $99 a year, and it really doesn't do that much. Get yourself a Gmail account instead, enable POP/SMTP, and set it up in your mail client of choice.

To save pictures, use the ctrl button as a right-click button. Ctrl-click, save image.

To change the name on your iBook, go to the Apple menu, then system preferences, then sharing. Under 'Computer Name' hit edit and change it to whatever you want, but make sure it says '.local' at the end.

You can also just drag and drop images from your bowser to the desktop or a finder folder. Just click on the image and whilst keeping the button down drag the image to the desktop or folder then release.

But if you still are interested in the .Mac account, there is a free trial to see, if it is to your liking.
