Open Mail in Inbox

Is there a way to have Mail open to the Inbox by default, instead of to the last folder that was used (as one can do with Microsoft Outlook)? I'm still a relative newbie when it comes to Macs and I keep trying to mimic what I'm used to with my PCs.
