Language Symbols

Hi all,

I've been searching and trying for ages to get French symbols come up on Word using the shortcuts (as opposed to Insert > Symbol menu).

I came across this list:

à = Option (alt) + ` + a
â = Option (alt) + i + a
ç = Option (alt) + c
é = Option (alt) + e + e
è = Option (alt) + ` + e
ê = Option (alt) + i + e

I've been trying to do the first symbol and I'm pressing: alt ` a at the same time, I am doing it right aren't I?
The result I get is: `å
This was so much easier on a PC...hehe!

Ok, I figured it out. I was doing the same thing you were doing and got the same result. But what you have to do is press alt ` then release and then press a.
