82% is amazing. The only other company to beat that in an IT/media industry is Microsoft with Windows. In fact that's pretty rare in any industry. No car company owns that kind of share.

Actually, that's false information.

The iPod has more like 92.1% of the Digital Music industry, UP from 82% from last year. ;)

82% overall (as per my original link) with 92% of the hard-drive-based market (your link.)

Thee numbers also sugest that the impact of non-hard-drive players on the market is very small.
